First Look
Red Dwarf XII photos make their bow - plus SFX design feature!
21 July, 2017
So, who'd like a look at some snapshots from the upcoming Red Dwarf XII? We thought you might.
Given that Red Dwarf XI and Red Dwarf XII were filmed and produced so close together, you could be forgiven for thinking that there's not much new to see when it comes to the upcoming twelfth series. But as you can see from these first two teaser images, you'd be wrong - because despite the short break between series, the Red Dwarf credo of no two series looking exactly the same has still held true.
You'll be able to see more of the design changes that occurred during that mini-production holiday as we approach Series XII's autumn broadcast - but in the meantime, if you want to find out a bit more about the show's design, then you'd better head to your local newsagents and pick up the latest issue of SFX magazine.
The August 2017 issue, on sale now, has a special four-page feature in which production designers Julian Fullalove and Keith Dunne, and graphic designer Matthew Clark, talk about their work on both Series XI and XII - with some exclusive production art thrown in, to boot! If you can't find the magazine in newsagents or supermarkets, you can order it via the SFX website or read a digital copy on platforms such as iTunes and Readly.
Don't forget to keep your eyes on @RedDwarfHQ, the official Facebook page and - of course - this very website in the coming weeks to see more Red Dwarf XII goodies. You might be particularly excited this time next week, is all we'll say...
Red Dwarf XII lands exclusively on Dave later this year!
