Music
Two new versions of the Red Dwarf theme tune ended Meltdown and Dimension Jump. The Hammond organ version was, sadly, not performed on the famed instrument... but then, it's not really Elvis singing, either. Another spoof appeared with Ace Rimmer's theme, a cunning play on the song 'Take My Breath Away', which had been such a hit from Tom Cruise movie Top Gun.
Romantic background music supported Camille, just as White Hole got some heroic stings. But most interesting was the transition music used for Meltdown. Without the traditional shots of Red Dwarf, the transitional edits were accompanied by a thrilling drum riff taken from the music library.
Elsewhere, The Blue Danube Waltz put in a full performance having been heard mixed with the RD theme in Confidence and Paranoia. The Rastabilly Skank sung by Craig and Chris was, sadly, improvised by the actors - a CD is emphatically not on its way.
