Music
With the new-look show came a rocking new opening. Played over shots from the show
was the electric-guitar sound of the new intro music. Elsewhere in the episode,
Howard's new pieces of incidental music upped the show's contemporary feel.
Timeslides also featured music from one Craig Charles. The tracks Bad News
and Cash were included in the episodes - and, if that weren't enough, Craig also
'wrote' (if that's the right word) the Om song.
Other tunes you may have spotted include Lister's performance of Michael Jackson's
'She's Out of My Life', Rimmer's bold trumpeting of 'The Last Post' and his glorious
redition of 'If I Were A Rich Man'. 'Happy Birthday' put in a second appearance after
showing up in Thanks for the Memory and Gordon Kennedy let rip
a sinister version of 'Goodbyee'. You might also have caught The Four Seasons Opus 8,
Spring Allegro by Vivaldi during Timeslides and Morning from Peer Gint by Grieg
in The Last Day - if you were really paying attention.
