Penguin Looking Drawn Dave Gibbons is a rare beast indeed. Like so many superheroes he has a dual identity - by day, he is a mild-mannered comic writer; by night, a fiendishly talented comic book artist. Mr Flibble tracked Dave down to interview both of him. |
2 March, 2001
Dave Gibbons has illustrated and written for a massive variety of comics, from Dan Dare to Dr Who, Batman and Predator to Martha Washington and The Watchmen.
He began his career doing lettering for fanzines, and after four years got his big break on 2000AD.
He was responsible for the very first Batman/Superman story, World's Finest, and for all instalments of the Batman vs. Predator adventures.
His more recent work includes Star Wars stories such as Vader's Quest and further adventures with Martha Washington.
