Your credits include Arnie movie Eraser...
Made some equipment belts that some guys being blown up got to wear! Sometimes you don't get to do too much on a project. I did lots of little projects through Prop'er Effects.
You worked on the Uncle Buck TV series - tell us about that...
That was my first sitcom, I was a set costumer. It was a great learning experience. I worked with both Audrey Meadows and Art Carney of The Honeymooners, and it was a pleasure to see some Hollywood Legends at work. Kevin Meany played the John Candy role on the show, and he was a wonderful to work with. I learned a lot about how a set runs and how fast things have to move when you are filming in front of a live audience.
You also do a lot of promotional and sales work. What kind of stuff have you been involved with?
I have done 'mascot' costume and promotional characters for various company. A restaurant in San Diego called Moondoogies had me do a giant 'Surfer Dog' costume. They take it to baseball games and other promotional events.
I made a superhero character called "Mantra" for a comic book company, That's the one I get most comments about. I have recently done a pair of superheroes for a medical insurance company - they use the characters at trade shows and meetings. I have gotten rather good at taking a comic drawing and bring it into the 'real' world.
Did you have a blast on the Universal Ghostbusters tour?
I did all the costumes and supplied all the props - along with Mike Moore again! - for the 'infomercial' that people saw while they waited in line in Florida to see the live show. That was a lot of fun - I even got to be a Ghostbuster in the film! Ghostbusters is something I love almost as much as Red Dwarf, so that was another fun one to do - especially when we got to slime one of the actors for a shot!
