Mutated Pneumonia

The initial symptoms of this disease - passing out, fever, bad dreams - soon pass, leaving the victim technically healthy. However, some aspects of the sufferer's hallucinations may become solid. Lister created Confidence and Paranoia, two aspects of his personality which, independently, would prove very dangerous to him - almost convincing him that he could breathe in space without oxygen!

Suggested treatment: Get them to take their helmet off first.
